Term 1 Week 8 Reflection

This is what we do at the end of some week. We have to write what we have learnt this week and explained what we are going to use it for.

What?
This week I have learnt to use  compound and complex sentences.

So what?
I have learnt that you can start a sentence with a  conjunction. If you have two short sentence and both of those sentence is describing what the character is doing, you want to make it into a long and describing sentence. You can use while, because and lots more other conjunction to make that sort and boring sentence into a long interesting sentence.

Now what?
Now when I am writing a story I can try to use conjunction to top it up and make it interesting.

My explanation writing about : How to survive your first night in minecraft.

In Week 6 of Term 1 our class focussed on how to write great explanations. We wrote about how to survive your first night in Minecraft (the game a lot of us are obsessed with!).

Here is my writing, after I have self-assessed and peer-assessed my work.

Do you want to know how to survive your first night in minecraft. Well I am here today to give you tips about how to survive your first night in minecraft. Listen closely.

The first day as the sun rises your goal is to find wood. How to find wood and why do you need wood ?

You can get wood by cutting down the trees with an eax. You can use the wood for making your house  and a crafting table or tools. After you cut the wood you can find a place that sote you. I think a tree house would suit me but it is your choice not main.

When you have found a place that suit you can start to build your own very house. You can use the wood that we cuted before or you can cut new woods. For making your own house you can build it by yourself any house that you like.

you have build your own house you can start to make your own survival tools and crafting table.

For making your own crafting table you need 4 planks of wood. You can also make your tools out of wood.

There is one more important thing that you really need in your home that is resources some of the resources you need is wood, food, torches and tools. You need to have torches because at night time zombies come banging on your door and if they see light that means you would be already be sleeping.

Then they just wait outside until you come out.

Now when the sun is going down you can sleep in  your bed and that is how you survive the first night in minecraft. One more thing when you wake up in the morning and you decided that you want to go outside well you might want to stay inside until the zombies are burnt in the sun then you can go outside and eat their flesh .
